Custom Colors are up on the HD website....which color to choose?
I may have missed the boat on this one, but I noticed today that the custom colors are now viewable on the HD website. I was waiting to see them to decide before putting in an order for a 2007 Heritage Classic. Personally I am not all that impressed with any of them. The Jake and Elwood Blue don't seem to contrast enough, the Burgundy and Creme and Gold Pearl is a little too feminine for my taste (no offense ladies), and the Dark Green Envy just doesn't seem Dark enough to offset the light green envy (though this one is growing on me). I love the classic two-tone look, so I think I have it narrowed down to Suede Blue Pearl and Vivid Black and Black Cherry Pearl and Pewter Pearl and of course black always looks good. I have yet to see any of these colors in real life so you guys might have a better idea what looks good. So I ask you. Which selection would you choose?

Maybe I'm in touch with my feminine side - wife says no - but I like the Burgundy - Creme, etc. Fire Red & Black looks pretty sweet too, I've always like the Red/Black two tone colors.

I've found HD's website never, ever does justice to their paint colors. You really have to see the paint/bike combo in person and in daylight to see if it fits your individual taste.
Once I saw suede blue/black in person on both an Ultra and RKC I thought the paint looked great - that's a turnaround from my website impression of "eeww, that's a swishy color".
The custom paint & bike combo on the website that caught my eye is a Softail Deluxe in Burgundy/Creme - seems to be in character for the bike.

Here's what you do:
1) Go to the HD website
2) Select the Softail Springer Classic
3) Under "paint and wheels", select the Olive Pearl and Vivid Black
4) Select the 1280 x 1024 size (under the front wheel)
5) Sit back and enjoy the view of the most bitchin' looking new bike I've seen in a while!

Actually I should qualify that...I saw it on the Fat Boy and the Road King Classic. The RK was not bad but I swear the first thing I thought when I saw the Fat Boy in that color was "Boy they really made that look girly"....Just my .02....ride what you like I won't be calling anyone names .... On a Deluxe I would definately be in line for a Burgandy and Creme...I'm thinking the greens are looking great on the Springer.

I know color is a very personal choice, but relative to the custom colors, the only one I would consider would be the blue/blue combination. I just do not like their other choices, nor did I care for last year's offerings either. Like I said, we all have our own opinion as it relates to color, so no one please get offended.
My first choice would be the red pear/black.

Geezer, I think you're right. That is one sweet looking bike. You're a Heritage Classic owner. You're not supposed to try to make me change my mind
