Turn signal wiring question

Turn signal wiring question
Well I've decided to clean up the front end of my 2003 deuce. at this point I've put drag bars and braided lines on it. While doing the work, one of my factory front turn signals was damaged. I was actually considering eleminating my front turn signals anyway because it gives the bike a much cleaner look. However, I want to keep my rear signals for safty issues.
My question...............Will my rear turn signals work with the front disconected? Does the rear need the front to complete the circuit???
I'm hoping I can just tape up the front conection plug and the rear signals will continue to work.
Any input will be greatly appreciated! I don't want to put my gas tank and everything back together until I know the wiring is finished but I want to get my bike back on the road ASAP. Thanks in advance.

I pulled the fronts off my Nighty, but put male/female insulated disconnects (females are on the hot leads, of course!) so I could slap them back on for the annual inspection without pulling the tank. The module that controls them seemed to take a couple seconds to "learn" what had happened, and has been happily working ever since.

I'm leaving my rear signals on. The rear signals are a necesity to warn other drivers that I will be slowing to make a turn. I don't rely on my front signals for anything. I don't trust other drivers to see my front signals before I turn in front of them.

Not me, you need them to keep from getting flattened by the azzhats that drive here in the NY/NJ area. You could have a 120 db loudspeaker announcing which way you are going to turn and multiple lights on both ends of the bike and there will always be someone who says " I didn't see him" For me, I'll take the big flat pancake signals on the front of my Road King, better than nothing.
