All Harley's Water Cooled?
How many of you would like to see a few models of Harley water cooled?
I'm for it. I think because of tradition, they are behind the curve and should start putting out some more bikes that are water cooled. I don't think everyone would reject them. I think they could make them asthetically good looking so that they retain the "Harley" image, but give us that advantage.

If it did not have a radiator it would be perfect, BUT I don't see how to make it water cooled without a radiator.
EDIT
** changed ** BUT I don't see how to make it water cooled with a radiator
** to ** BUT I don't see how to make it water cooled without a radiator (typed faster than my eyes read the first time)

I'm sure he meant WITHOUT a radiator!
Which would be cool. And don't they have a bunch of really smart engineers? They could come up with something cool!!

Ha....I think he meant "without".
Anyhow I wouldn't mind a liquid cooled Harley providing they still look like a Harley. Often thougth of getting one from another brand as it is.

i dont think they are behind the curve. they CHOOSE not make them water cooled. whats wrong with how things are set up now? my bike works just fine. dont get me wrong, i wouldnt mind seeing some models water cooled as i like variety, but a lot of people think that everything should be water cooled just because other companies do it.
but like i said, my bike works just fine without water cooling and i like it just the way it is. why fix something that aint broke. and why get caught up in "technology" when it will just add more things that can go wrong and add more to the price of an already pretty expensive bike.

My confusion is why do some people buy a Harley, and then want it to be something it's not? IMO, air cooled is just part of being a Harley. But, I will concede that many felt the same when EFI came out...and, I've heard several swear that anything non-carbed is not a Harley. That being said, surviving a change in fuel delivery is not the same as changing the basic architecture of an American icon. I guess we'll see.

I had a Suzuki for a long time, never any problem with the radiator, not that you can't have problems, but I think like anything, if you maintain it well it will serve you well(excluding lemons!!).
