Exclamation 88" to 103" big bore?

Is there a big bore kit for an 88 to a 103?? I thought most 88's are kitted up to a 95. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If you go somewhere other than Harley you can get them up in the 120" and above range. I've been told that a 117" is about as big as you should go if you want any kind of reliability at all.

103" is stroked 95", also a big bore 96". 88 & 96 are the same size jugs, just different stroke.

The answer to your question is there a BIG BORE KIT that takes a 88" to a 103" - the answer is NO. The biggest BB KIT I'm aware of is S&S 100" kit, others can bore to 97" and 98". 103" on up require stroking the motor which means you need to open up the bottom end and replace the flywheel with a longer stroked flywheel. That is above and beyond what a BB Kit is. A 95" BB kit will do the trick for most people who aren't hung up on numbers, meaning you'll get plenty of real power out of 95" depending on what else you change equal to or even better then a 97", 98" or even a 100". As for the S&S 100", I "think" they are still selling them, but I heard some rumblings about that may have changed ... not sure.

The reason you can take a 96" HD motor up to 103" and 110" by just installing the BB Kit, is because it already has a stroked flywheel. A 96" HD motor is eccentially an 88" motor with a longer flywheel... heads and barrels of the 88" & 96" are the same.

S&S no longer shows a 100" (square motor) kit, only 97" for the 88" motors. The last poster is correct. If you only do the top end the limit is really 98" with the Rev performance cylinders. Anything bigger reaquires a larger bore in the case and/or a stroker crank.

i just did the whole 95, and i got to tell you there is no reason to go any higher its all the power i can tell you it would be scary fast if you do cams and all, i cannot imagine any more power if you have a bagger maybe alot also depends on your bike but if you want reliability stay with the 95

Thx HDFAT, that's what I thought, the 100" kit wasn't available any longer...I wouldn't be surprised if it was discontinued because it required boring the cases because S&S wasn't selling the 97" kit before...? Just a guess. And yes, Rev Perfprmance is an excellent co. out of Calf. that does great work and sells complete BB Kits.

Like others have said, ya got'a go with the stroker crank/flywheel to get to 103.....Personally? If I was spend'n that kind'a money.....would do an Axtell kit and go to 107.....I think anything big'r on the 88, you'll have ta have the cases (lower) bore'd to except the mods.......I think..been told,anyways...........
