Whinning noise when increasing RPM's
Has anyone have any ideas why all of a sudden I'm getting a high otich whinning noise while increasing rpms in between shifting and increasing speed on a 2004 Road King

Which side of the bike? Quick guess left side primary chain--right side cam chain? Miles on bike? Any work on bike?

2004 no work done to it.....we checked tension on chain, that is where it should be...it sounds like its coming from the top.

I had a Stator go out on a 95 RK, it started with a whine on the left front, in the primary cover, and then went out altogether.

primary chain is where it should be...36,600 miles....

My guess would be cam chain shoes are worn. Should be checked at 30k to 40k.
