Default Scratched Ceramic Thunderheader!!!

I scratched my Ceramic Thunderheader!!! Any tips on how to fix it without having to powerdcoat entire exhaust??? I scratched the actual exhaust not the shields so it's not like I can just pop them off to fix it.

Can you fill it in with some high temp flat black paint if for any reason other than to make it less noticeable? Are we talkin' a huge gouge or just a light scratch?

Get a spray can of black BBQ paint at Lowe's or Home depot. Shake the **** out of the can and spray about a 1/4 inch into a junk plastic cup or coffee can lid you have laying around. If you don't have a pinstripe or other teeny tiny pointed tip paint brush laying around, take a piece of paper towel from the kitchen and roll it into a point. Dab it into the paint and then dab the paint into the scratch a Small bit at a time. Put about 5 coats 5-10 minutes apart into, not around, the scratch. Wait a dozen hours or till the next day and fire her up. The paint should smoke for a few minutes then cure into the scratch. Should hide the scratch pretty well and stop further issues.

I'm surprised it took that long for anyone to ask for pics... I'll post some in a few hours...
