Default Starter, does nothing,nada

Hi guys, I just got home from sea, been gone awhile. Went out to start the bike, 07 Road King Custom, Anyway I expected the battery to be dead and it was. I put the Charger on trickle and let it charge over night. I went out to start it and it did this.
I turned the switch on and I heard the fuel pump run, I pushed the start button and nothing, no click, no dimming of the lights nothing.
I checked the voltage and I had 12.10v ,I thought this would have been enough, is it?
The bike worked fine when I parked it, but the battery had been drained down a few times in the past from sitting. The bike is like new with no miles.
Thanks in advance for any and all help and suggestions.

Check your battery connections might have some corrosion on them.Check them at both ends battery, starter, and ground.

Try cleaning the terminals. Mine did that once & after I cleaned the terminals it fired right up. They looked clean, but apparently they weren't... Good luck.

Don`t know about your scoot but on my Sporty the relays failed twice - once last year and once this year - I now carry a spare relay in the tool box.

Just checked my s/m for battery info. 12v. is at 25% life. If you have drained the battery down several times previously, the battery could be terminal. The AGMs don't like those conditions. I would get a new battery and smart tender battry charger with pigtails you can hook up to the battery and keep the battery charged while you are gone. Another good idea is put some sta-bil in your gas so that it won't gum up the fuel system, when you go back out.

A battery can show high voltage like 12v but not be able to handle the load of starting. New battery is the best advice and then go from there. Buy a battery tender while you're buying the battery if you're going to need to let it sit like that.

Thanks guys, I know it's the simple stuff that will bite you and that we overlook. I was thinking along the lines of battery since it ran fine when I parked it. But, with the 12v I thought it was ok.
On my way to buy a battery and some sta-bil.
Thanks again.
