Default Battery tender pigtail

Someone was telling me recently that they had a "pigtail" installed so that a battery tender could be plugged into a little hanging out of the way coupling without having to remove the seat to expose the battery.

Who knows about these things? Not me. Any and all information appreciated.

The bikes don't come from the factory with the pigtails. Some dealers install them during the setup process, some don't.

Mine came with the battery tender. Hangs out from under the seat by the oil filler cap. Got a pic, I'll see if I can find it.

If you buy a "Battery Tender", it'll actuall come with a pigtail (with waterproof cap). My wife's bike ('06 Sportster) had a pigtail from the dealer. I recently purchased a Battery Tender and installed the pigtail on my bike...Very convenient.
