Default Easy Rider, Captain America Burns

http://www.ultimatemotorcycling.com/...-burns-in-fire

This is interesting, but I'm still wanting to know the truth behind the Captain America bikes. As many state, the bikes were stolen, and the only one that was authentic was the one that was involved in the crash scene.

But in this story, it says another authenticated one was burned...I'm going to research this...anybody know of anything?

Hmm, not sure I buy it. Is the guy who lost this in the fire just trolling for some insurance cash?

Dan Haggerty did not make the bikes.... they were made by Cliff Vaughn

It's hard to tell how many "authenic" Captain America bikes there are out there.

I watched a behind the scenes on the DVD release of Easy Rider. The two bikes were stolen and Cliff attempted to recover them. He ended up beating the **** out of the dude when he found them cut up into parts and got a night in the cooler (if I recall correctly).

There was a single Captain America bike. Cliff reconstructed a new one from the bike they blew up in the final scene.

I might be wrong, but I think you can watch the special features on the DVD and check it out for yourself.
