I have a 2008 RKC, I was reading thru the service manual, and found the fuse panel diagram, it showed the starter relay to be located on the panel part number 31579-04, it is a small four prong unit. I wanted to have a spare, so I went to the Stealer, and asked for a starer relay for my RKC, he looked it up and gave me a 31579-91b, a 5 prong unit. I cannot find any mention of this part in my service manual. Does anyone know which is the right unit? Thanks.

Perhaps your '08 is the same? I would've thought the parts guy/gal would have mentioned it to you if it had?

The two numbers after the dash indicate the revision number, and that usually coinsides with the year the revision came out...
Looking at these two part numbers, it would seem they replaced a new part with an old one. Guess sometimes newer aint better!

 

31579-04 is obsolete and was superseded to 31586-07. My 08 parts manual shows 31586-07
