Default 1976 Harley Line-Up

Thought you guys and gals might enjoy seeing the Harley Line-Up for 76. I bought a used 76 Sportster XLH in 77. Went to a dealer after I got it and they still had literature for the 76 models. Shortly after I got it drove down to Daytona Beach from Buffalo with a buddy. Great time on the beach. On the way home we tried to go non-stop, except for gas and grub. Made it to Erie, PA then had to park over night due to a thunder storm. It's amazing what your body can do when your 21. Hope you enjoy!

Bet you really hated that horrible hob-job crossover linkage to make it left hand shift.

I had a 75 (the 2 years Harley band aided it to conform to NTSB requirements) and I could never find neutral. I ended up converting it back to right side shift.

Default '76 Harleys

I bought a new 1976 FXE Liberty Edition in December of 1975. I have a friend that bought a new Sportster later that year. We both still have them plus another newer bike. Those may have been the "good ole days" but the newer bikes are much better. Hutch
