An open letter of thanks to a Franklin County deputy...
Dear Deputy,
I appreciate, more than you know, your understanding and willingness to let me roll out without a ticket after clocking me at 90+ mph, especially after noting that you had to run your cruiser up to 125mph to catch me. As a fellow bike owner, I know you cut me a *huge* break. For that I am very, very grateful.
Sincerely,
Dude on a Sportster

This LEO must be something special. After letting you slide with this, he is owed more than an open letter. He should know that you have slowed down, for good, at least to a somewhat reasonable speed.

Let's not go overboard. Sheesh.

Sometimes, LEOs have a heart. Buddy of mine got pulled over for passing a truck in a turning lane on the way to Daytona. We all stopped to wait for him. The LEO was about to start writing, looked up at the sky, and said, "this is too good of a day to mess it up with a ticket." Let him go.
Another friend just got a ticket for going 47 in a 40. You never know. . .
