Home Made Bike Lift for $20
If you are a do it yourself person, check this out. I made one and it works great, I use it rather often to raise either or both of the wheels depending on just where you put it under the bike.

You can buy a qualty craftsman hydralic cycle lift from sears for 69.00, why even mess with this low end single hieght stuff? If you want cheap, 3 dollar cinder block and a buddy to help you lift it onto it. LOL

I paid $69 for a lift from Sams and love it. A $20 lift for a $20k bike doesn't compute in my book.

There are times when you need the home styles just as much as the high cost stuff. A hammer with punch can often be used for the same job as a 3 TON hydraulic press. You have to decide how much finess you need.

OK, I used the other $40 to buy front brake pads.
Also I find that the soft wood lift does not even scratch the steel frame paint. It also takes very little space in my shed.
Then again, do you always evaluate everything by how much it costs? Hmmm. Better hope your wife doesn't think the same way.

By the same token, I've heard a lot of guys say that a cheap, foreign made lift for under 100 bucks and a $20k bike doesn't compute, either.

I have both a Homemade "el cheapo" and a "yellow Craftsman", and the funny thing is, BOTH get the tires off the ground.
Each one has it use:
The "pro lift" when doing the wrenching(gets the Ultra higher than the "el cheapo").
The "el cheapo" when washing/cleaning the Ultra (faster setup), and I don't think getting water on the yeller one is really that healthy for it.
Hint:(Broken Leg Rider)
If you want the wood one to even be nicer to your frame paint, stop by a carpet store and see if they have any old sample pieces, tack it on where the wood hits the frame.
Observation:(King Rider)
Kinda makes you wonder when folks, can only descride a Harley dash Davidson, by it's price tag. (I didn't buy a status symbol, did you?)
