Avon or Kuryakan cushion grips, which ones?
I am looking at the Kury and/or the Avon cushion grips. Hoping I can get an opinion on them from you folks. Tell me which one you have and why.
Thanks

I was running the ISO with throttle boss on both my my bikes.
When I changed out the bars on my Rocker, I wanted to try something different and decided on the Avon grips.
I ordered the Avon air cushion grips, once I saw them I ordered the PM grips.
I never installed the Avons. I gave them to a buddy.
Both the ISO and Avon left grips are glued on. The PM is held on with two set screws.
I think the throttle boss on the ISO is a better design than the tab they add to the Avons. The ISO boss position can be adjusted while on the bike.
The Avon has a screw inside that can only be accessed with the grip off the bike.

I got the PM Contour XL.
I can't remember, (using age as an excuse) if I got them from J&P Cycle or Dennis Kirk?
I think DR V-TWIN also carries them, so you might ask Drew through a PM.

They show both the black and chrome.
Here's a bunch @ J&P.

I have a set of the ISO grips and Couldn't go anywhere without them. I had a bad problem with the factory grips (and any other bike I rode) in that my hands/fingers would go numb after 10 minutes of riding.
I was not sure about spending 80 bucks on grips but did it and have not suffered from that problem again. I've been on 150 mile trips with them so far and not once has my hand given me problems.

I went with the Avon grips, was a little disappointed in them being made of plastic, but put them on anyway. I like them, they look good and feel great with or without gloves. Most of the used bikes I saw with Kury grips, the grips look crappy, the rubber had a burned up look. Not sure if it was from wear or sun damage. Will have to see how the Avons hold up.

I had the Avons on my RK for a year before trading it in. They looked as good as the day I put them on when I traded it in.
I've heard the same bad things about the ISO grips but don't have personal experience with them.
Check Eastern Performance Cycles for the Avons...... good prices and free shipping.

Have you considered these

Soft and comfy.
The "cruise control" version works great.
I have 51k on mine and they've weathered very nice.
