When My brother had his bike painted "Real Flame" by a now defunct outfit in Phoenix named 'Sinister Flames' he had them do a helmet to match at the same time. I have known lots of good car and bike painters/air brush artists in my time, and anyone of them could also do helmets, coffee tables, kitchen appliances, tool boxes, computer cases and bed frames. {Really, I've seen all these and more} I don't know any in your area, but since you are here, I trust you can find one via the good old world wide interweb thingie. Good luck, keep us posted.

Here is my post on this topic from just a couple of days ago:

I cannot recommend the artist that I used enough. I have also used a different artist for my custom guitar paint job, and she does helmets also and did excellent. Finally, Alan Buck paints helmets and he is fantastic, though I believe he has a bit of a backlog.
If you'd like contacts direct to any of these, along with my high recommendations on each, drop me a PM. I'd be glad to pass their direct contact info along. These three I'm referring to are probably the best.

Figure I can paint a helmet if I can paint a bike, car, house, guitar etc. I can't see the pictures here at work but PM me if ya want. I can throw down a pretty decent coat of paint. See below, I painted it.

Painting a helmet is tricky business. Some paints contain solvents that attack the integrity of the shell. Many paints require heat to cure...a big "no no" for helmets.
Go with someone with helmet knowledge. Troy Lee Designs and Gunslingers come to mind
