Tire Mileage
#21
I bought my Road King used, but it had new OEM tires on it. 10,000 miles on the tires so far. They still look good. I wouldn't be surprised if they make it another 5,000 miles or more.

17k on my street glide with OEM tires. Probably hvae another 3K left on the rear and 8K on the front. No trailer for me. Just keep them at the correct pressure and use high mileage air.

From what I have been told, tire mileage can seriously vary from a combination of factors:
1. weight of rider and weight of bike,
2. road conditions (Highways tend to be smoother than secondary roads).
3. riding style (aggressive riders tend to wear faster).
4. maintenance (keeping them properly inflated).
etc.
So it's really remarkable to get 17k miles out of a set of tires, but it would be just as remarkable to get only 7k miles out of a set.

Don't make a rats *** to me if you believe it or not. My front had 3/32 , just to the wear bars. I live in the country, any ride I make is at least 50 miles . probley a total of 10 red lights and stop signs within 30 miles of me. plus I a 64 year old codger that don't do speed anymore. (also retired and need to get the most tire, brake and gas milage I can.

Still have OEM Dunnies on my '09 Streetglide. Have about 14K miles on them currently and have enough tread to go at least 3 or 4K more, but the front tire is starting to cup. Not sure what tires to go with next.

i think a lot of it has to do where you ride at the road surface and the temp. i get maybe 12000 out of metzeler 880 on rear and about 14000 on front tire. 2000 softail deuce and i dont burn out. and i ride 2 up almost all the time

I just pulled the original rear dunrock off at 8700 on my fatty. i maybe could have gotten it to 10k on a hope and prayer, but i do too much highway cruising to chance it.
I put a metzeler me880 on and hope to get 10k out of it without a hope or prayer.
