I got 6,100 miles on my last pair of tires. They were Harley tires and [ according to the dealer ] will be $815.00 to replace!!!!

Not sure what they are going to sell you for tires ... but I sure think I would get that dealers hand out of MY pocket. Just put a front ME 880 on my 2009 Ultra for 165.00 installed, tire from DK, and a local shop charged 30 for the R&R ..

Does the weight of the bike play a factor in how many miles you can get on the tires?

Default Two rears for one front it seems like...

I am only getting 10k on my rear tire.. 07 Ultra... Does the tire warranty thing they sell apply only to the first set of tires? I bought my bike used and it came with the tire warranty... I immediatly changed the fluids when I bought the bike with 3k miles on it and they noticed a nail in the rear and replaced it under the warranty... Way cool...

My present rear 402 has 15000 mi on it and 5/32nds + left. 95% of my riding is 2 up. Neither my wife or myself are lightweights. I run 40# air pressure in the rear tire and keep an eye on the pressures. This tire has been from Fl to Maine over all types of roads. My bike has never seen a burnout pit. We just ride.

I replaced the rear last August at 9k miles. The front tire is starting to look pretty worn at 15,200. Hopefully I can get another 3k out of it and replace both tires at the same time. I'm thinking I will try out some Metzlers next time around.

don't know what you guys are smoking but want some
as an old guy 70 yo and a light weight 150 lbs riding a light bike softtail std
I can only get around 10 thou out of either end. original tires went the farthest of any but not that much more maybe around 12 thou.. never had any bike that would go much over 10 thou. on a rear tire but then have only been riding 50 years ..

Don't know if it's you, the bikes you have owned or where you ride. My 08 FLHT got over 20K on the original rear 402. The second got about the same. the next three were replaced free under the road hazzard warranty. I got over 60K on the original front. (3/32 thread left) Like you I've been riding 50 years. My last bike, 98 FXD got 12 K on the rear in the city. When I retired and moved to the woods it went up to 15K. I would suspect the lack of stop signs and redlights (closest red light is 15 miles away) has something to do with it. Just because you don't get good mileage doesn't mean no-one does. I've been playing golf for 50 years , doesn't make me a good golfer! Just sayin.
