The only thing I can think of was when I had to replace a strut on my Fatboy, they hadda order it 'cause the one they had in stock wouldn't work. I think it was the directional placement hole. Line 'em up & check. Harley says a lot of things won't fit when in reality they do--2 that come to mind--says right on the package that 4-speed fram skid plates won't fit Evo Softails--they go right on. Same with master cylinder caps--all the same, just differently labeled. Prolly says it won't fit 'cause of the color!

 

Yea thats why I asked. Shouldnt be thad much difference from 07 FXST to an 08 bones. If not I guess ill get some chrome take offs and PC them.
