What is your opinion? Thinking about putting a brown leather seat and maybe some bags on my black denim Softail. Wondering if I like the "idea" of brown leather more than the actual look of it.

Not quite sure yet though...isn't there some rule about not wearing brown with black?

 

I think it looks great on black denim, to me a darker brown loos better.

Brown leather looks good on any bike...EXCEPT a black one.

 

The darkest brown leather you can get without it being black looks better than black leather on a black bike-get it?

I love mine! I get compliments all the time about the combination...it's different than most. To each their own though

 

Function as in you have to leave a bike parked in the hot sun a brown seat wouldn't get as hot as a black seat.

The problem is that the seats that I have seen that are brown are not as nice looking as the other seats (black) that I like.

Then even if you can find the seat you like the best and you can order it in brown you then will have a hard time finding brown saddle bags, other bags, and luggage that are brown. No where the selection when the color is black.

But you want brown then go for it.

 

I think brown leather can look great on a denim/matte black bike, but not so much with vivid/gloss black

 

I saw a black Streetglide with a 08 anniversary seat - Looked Great!
