Scream'in Eagle vs Rush 1.75 slip-ons
I have SE slip-ons which sound OK but really not quite loud enough for me. I've listened to Rush slip-on ons on you-tube but it's really hard for me to tell in order to make a comparison. I've heard good stuff about Rush's sound so it seems like the Rush 1.75 may fill the bill. Can anyone give me a relative comparison of them to the SE's?

I had the Rush 1.75 on my Dyna and I believe they were a little louder and deeper toned than the SE they are selling today.
I think the older SE mufflers sounded a lot better than what they are selling these days.

I'm sure you've heard this before but go to a dealership on a busy day and check out the bikes people ride up on. I went through the youtubes as well and really couldn't get a feel for the true sound. After doing this I decided on the rush 2.25". The Screaming Eagle to me at least didn't sound much better than my stock exhaust. Waiting on them to show up. Only ordered Thursday. Good luck. Hate to throw another at you but have you considered cycle shack yet? I liked those also but a little too loud for me. I really like the low rumble of the Rush.

Before you waste your time with fooling around with more slip-ons, do yourself a large favor and get a full exhaust system, preferably a Vance & Hines. The look and sound will be so much better you'll slap yourself.... I know I did....

Good advice. I was at the dealership today & missed a good opportunity to listen to some pipes, was'nt thinking. I've heard the Cycle shacks are fairly loud, probably too loud for me. The low rumble is the sound I'm looking for so the Rushs' probably are probably the way to go for me. Gotta have a little more oomph in the decibel department.

I love my 1.75 Rush's! However...hindsight being 20/20' I should have waited 'cause now I'm seriously looking at going with VH 2-1 full exhausts when/ if I do the Stage 1 upgrade.

The Rush mufflers are a straight thru design with a baffle wrapped with a noise deadening material. Like the old automotive glass pack mufflers. The material will burn out over time. Making the exhaust louder. The HD Screaming Eagle mufflers use a permanent type steel baffle. Which does not burn out. Thus you have the same exhaust note pretty much forever.

the good thing with Rush is that you can swap out the baffles easy to change how loud. Rush 1.75's are much louder than todays SE's . i find they are quite tame nowadays. i've had a set of Rush 1.75's for close to 4 yrs , garaged outside and 35,000k of riding and still seem ok. i have a few sets of slip on's depending on what mood im in ( or what riding im doing ) for instance i have one set painted as candy canes that i put on for xmas .... lots easier swapping than a full system.

On an '07 Deuce, our 2.00" baffle is the most popular and will sound similar to the old performance series screaming eagle mufflers, they will be much louder and deeper than the new se slip-ons. We also offer full systems that are ceramic coated inside and out for a 300 deg heat reduction on the pipe. The 2:1 is great for performance but still has the classic deep Rush sound. The crossover system is also very popular. We also apply the "Ride on Us" policy to all full systems, within 10 days you can return it if you don't like it. Here's a link to all of our systems.
