Question To fishtail or not to fishtail....that is the question

Was thinking about some new fishtail slip-ons for my '08 RK. How do you guys think they would look on it?

They'd look good on your RK. Do it.

Rockettails?? I'll have to research so I know what NOT to get. Was thinking V&H or Bassani. Or Samsons! Those do look nice!

Now that right there is the only reason I wish mine was a Softail! I will find a way to do this someday, it would complete my build.

Do you ever worry about someone falling over or stepping on them? Are they just caps add ons? Do they improve performance.?

If you are going to do fishtails,do it right. Go with Samson, they are the best looking pipes on the market.

I'm not so sure. No disrespect to Dr. V-Twin, but to me fishtails that long look like they came of another, much longer bike.

I think the fishtail end caps look cool, but not on pipes that long.

The question to do them or not is up to you, personal preference and taste.

I think they can look good on bikes going for that old retro look....but in normal lengths...I don't get the extra long ones that look like they'd snap off if you go over a bump.

Also on your bike, you got the bags on the back there...IMO fish won't look good there, nice fat diameter pipes look better to me. But that's just me.
