Default Bright *** Light Backlash???

I just ordered the BAL-1 taillight for my Road King and I know from the reviews here that it is very bright. I was wondering if anyone with this light has experienced any backlash from cagers for having, well... a bright *** taillight. Has anyone had anyone try to cut them off or "buzz" them for "blinding" them with their taillight?

Thought I'd ask to see if this is something I should expect.

Thanks!

-Alex

Everything I heard has been positive. Vehicles staying back further than before the BAL light was installed.

No......BUT I don't have mine set up to constant flash at a stop either. In run mode, I have it on the medium setting which is STILL substantially brighter than a stock tail light. In the Stop mode, I have it set to strobe upon brake application, then go to steady on.

Why pay so much? You can go to eBay
http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_kw...d=320665308605

and buy a really really bright LED tail light for $50 and then get the plug and pins to crimp on the wires for about $5 and your done. That FL RED LED tail brake light that I bought in red and the one my son bought in smoke are bright as all get out. Then I bought one of those flashers ($17) that cause my tail light flash really fast for 4 times and then go on steady. That is all that is allowed in California (4 flashes before it HAS to go to steady on). It gets attention but no one has ever complained to me about it (other than the other bikes in our group that are riding behind me on a run and it is not a complaint but rather a statement about how bright they are and can't be missed). Total spent $67 which is a lot cheaper that that BAL-1!!!

Good to know. I decided to go LED all the way, headlight, aux lights, brake light, turn signals, and fender tip light.

No problems and the cagers five me a lot of room. That bright flashing like is really obnoxious. They pass you as soon as they can but they do stay back til then. Just fine with me.

Been running mine for about a year now and it keeps the cars at bay, but no complaints from any of them so far.
