"Genuine Made in China" accessories can be overpriced and of questionable quality.

I go with what I think is the best value for my money.

I've used all sorts, but the HD parts are usually better quality - heavier, better finish, better fit. I stick to them, when they have what I need, and use others for things Harley doesn't make. The main part where aftermarket is higher quality than HD is seats - I wouldn't pay much for a HD seat.

The local HD dealer will tell you when non-HD parts are superior./ They will order and install them too.

The non-HD parts on my bike are: Progressive Suspension (shocks and fork springs), V & H exhaust system, C&C seat, Lyndall brake pads, S&S gear drive cams, ISO grips, and after-market running lights. These are quality parts and the fitment was perfect.

Wait, you have a local dealer that's not out to make money for HD? :\

If everyone bought HD all the time, there would be a lot of bikes out there looking the exact same.

I have so many non-HD parts on my bike, I'm not sure it's even a HD anymore. In my opinion many non-HD parts offer superior performance and quality compared to what HD offers.
