Well, if it clicks, and starts when you jump it, then yes, you'll need a new battery.

Default Fat Boy won't start

All of a sudden my 2001 fat boy wont start. It wants to turn but doesn't and the a clicking sound starts. I jumped it and it started up. Do you think i need a new battery or could it be something else?

Have you changed the battery since 2001? If not, time to replace. Also, trickle charge the battery and then take it to Kragen/O'Reilly's or someplace similar to have the battery checked under load. They will let you know if the battery needs replaced.

If it hasn't been sitting more than two weeks and you don't have a drain on it. I would consider a new battery. I would also clean and grease my battery terminals when I install a new battery. Keep running a bad battery and risk losing your charging system and or your starter. Low voltage is hard on both of them.

Clicking means your battery is dead. Charge it and try again. Charge with a charger, not a tender.
