You have to pay for everyone else’s health care costs (just like our fearless leader is doing to us now). Well at least your hookers get free checkups… By the way I eat beef dang that stuff is good.

Don’t take this crap too personal, everyone has a choice on where to live and mine just happens to be here. There are several US states, cities, etc. where I wouldn’t live, for the same reasons, stupid laws. My OL always talks about moving to Kalifornia, my answer is always no!
I moved from Vancouver Island 6 years ago. After learning American history about their constitution and their bill of rights I'm damned happy to be here! The President of the United States has visited Canada on a number off ocaissions since he was elected. You may think I'm ranting over something stupid and unrelated but in all honesty, Canada is as socialist as you can get! If the President has been learning the trade secrets Canada has, there's going to be HUGE problems in the U.S. if he plans to implement them here! You can kiss the freedoms you have now goodbye if he gets his way! Plus, speaking of taxes, Canada's are through the roof compared to what they are in the U.S.! Can you imagine what would happen if the tax in the U.S. ballooned to 14%? If the taxes here were hiked up that high here, there'd be trouble coming guaranteed! So the gov't can spend rediculous amounts of taxpayer money on dumb crap like photo radar and now there's noise too? It's all a waste of time and money considering that most of it won't stand up in court anyhow!
Like was mentioned in another post, it's just going to be another $112,000 boat anchor! Figuratively speaking.

If we do not police ourselves the law will do it for us. Keeping the noise from my bikes at a reasonable level is part of the respect for others that my mother taught me to have. All loud pipes do is scare the **** out of old people and **** off the neighbors. IMO

As far as cost goes, most of the time the equipment doesn't cost the city a dime. Not even to install them. They don't even give up personal to monitor them. A company comes to a city, offers to provide the equipment, installation, and monitoring. They get their cut from the tickets. Part of the fee built into the ticket. That's how a little town not too far north from where I live got speed cameras put in and installed. They have since been disabled and removed.

But while it was in court and a judge had ruled the cameras were to be turned off while they were determining the legality of their use, the company was still using them and issuing tickets. If I remember correctly, in a little over a year the city had made over a million dollars from their cut.

I think that's the best way to put it... "their cut" because in this case at least, the city and police weren't doing any work. They just sat back and waited to collect the money. There wasn't any police work going on. Of course the city's response was that it freed their officers up to take care of other crimes.
