Hi Guyz,

I just bought a leather jacket from this website www.happarel.com and received it yesterday. But that company says they are in USA but the jacket I got is from CHINA. They claim they only sell official licensed harley products but here are my concerns.

1. Jacket did not come in original Harley packaging.
2. It came from CHINA
3. Its made in CHINA
4. IT delivered about 10 days late

I contacted them and told them that I am not happy with this but they kept insisting on saying they only sell genuine HD stuff and the jacket I got is the same one as in Harley stores.

WHen I told them that I am still not satisfied then they said they'll give me 20% refund for delay shipment.

I dont konw if the jacket I got is real of not, can someone please tell me how to check that?

Gut feeling is FAKE. Looked up the whois info for the website, and they have a Kansas City, MO address - but the contact name and company is Chinese.

If you paid by credit card, then call the CC company and file a complaint that you were sold fake merchandise. Good chance that the CC company will refund the $$

 

Most genuine HD stuff is made in china. You are just cutting out the middle man!

 

You can tell if its leather by holding the cherry of a lit cigarette as close to it as possible without touching it. Do it in a spot that is not likely to be seen by others (in case it is fake).
Leather will do nothing, vinyl (pleather) will deform or melt.

I am looking at my HD jacket right now that I bought at a dealership...Made In China.

 

I'll bet its backhanded advertising.

 

if its made with bull leather you could rub it and see if it grows.

 

Let me guess. Right under "An american original" made in china.
