Default Spring Street Vibes In Sparks, NV

Hi All,

Just wanted to let whomever is coming to the Spring Street Vibes, June 1-3 in Sparks, NV. To please be careful once you hit Reno. Hwy 80 going thru the main part of Reno is down to two very narrow lanes. And 80 is a main truck route, so not alot of space in the lanes for them. Lots of road construction that has been going on for like forever!

There are alternate routes, like 50 into Carson City, or SR 88 (Carson Pass) or 108. All of those routes are really nice riding roads.

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but it seems to be the most active so I am posting it here.

So try to avoid 80 if you can, get here and home safe!

Ride Safe all.

Thanks for the heads up!
That should make the ride up somewhat easier this year.

You are welcome, but should not be a problem for you lol, you are coming from Vegas. So most likely you will be heading East on 80 coming the opposite direction. It is the ones coming from Cali that may have the issues.

But who knows, you may be one that likes to take the lllooonnnggg way. I know I do.

Just want everyone to be safe!

Let me second this excellent advice. The best option, if you are arriving on I 80 from the west, is to exit at West McCarran go south for about one-half mile and the turn east (left) on 4th street. This will lead you directly into downtown Reno an ultimately into Sparks near the SV setup.

I am avoiding I 80 east and west until the work finishes this fall as most of the time it is mostly a demolition derby.
