Default Tank lift on a lo?

What is your opinion on it. Positive or negative. Thinking about getting one.

Have just recently started seeing this mod. I am thinking of 1" on my Fatboy, but I wanna see if they hold up as this is something new. Prolly wait a few months. Have concerns about the stresses on the front & rear mount. I only like a front lift, not front & back.

I agree, I like just the front lift. JP cycles has a really robust kit to do that for FB type split tanks. I am going to home depot this weekend and see if I can find a better way to do it. With rubber or leather pads in there and done correctly I think I have figured out a better solution that will keep stress low on the mounts. I just need to play with it a bit. If I can find or make what I need I'll post it and folks can either try it or laugh at it.

Some ongoing discussions about this in the softail section on the "Lo" thead and a seperate tank lift thread. The deluxe or rear tank lift by one of the venders doesn't appear to work on the Lo though the front lift appears to work okay.

DK purpose built tank lifts are solid with no issues of holding up. They use round stock instead of flat stock with a bend in it that is susceptible to fatigue.

The Deluxe option on all softails will lift the rear also, but NOT allow forward or rearward movement.
