Wouls any of you let a bike's color alter your plans for purchase. I mean--if you were looking to buy a bike & you were looking for a certain model, new or used, like I was looking 6 months for the right RKC, and you found the perfect bike in the perfect price range, but you didn't like the color, would you still buy it?.
There aren't too many Harley colors I don't or didn't like. For instance--I don't mind yellow on,say,a Sportster, or a V-Rod. But on a bagger, or something with alot of "paint", it would be too much. Like riding an 800Lb banana. Never been a fan of certain blues, like Chopper Blue or last year's, I think Pacific blue. Never liked HD's greens, except for Dragonfly. I think I am one of the few forum members that actually loved the 105th Duracell; even bought one. My favorite colors for a bike is copper, white, burgundy, silver & black pearl. My absolute favorit HD color was Black Ice Pearl, but ONLY in a 2 tone, not on the whole bike. But it depends on the bike. A Deluxe looks best in 2 tone, when the top color is some kinda white. Also, depends on how the 2 tone is distributed. Like 2 tone tank panels; not crazy about half & half. I lucked out with my RKC. Spent 6 months looking for the right one. I wanted an '07, 'cause I wanted the 96" w/6 speed tranny, but I DIDN'T want the TBW, so '07 was the only choice. I looked at about 40 RKs, and imagine my surprise when the one I liked best was in my favorite color for that year.
So--would you let color influence your decision in a bike's purchase? With me--unless it were pink, a denim color, or custom paint (not a fan of custom paint, no matter how nice) the answer is NO.
Yes, I didn't want to wait when I went to get my wideglide, but the one they had was a two tone blue flame that I thought was god awful, the colors together were bad and it made the cartoon- like flames look worse. So I waited impatiently, I think two or three weeks for them to find a black one. When it showed up on a thursday night I knew I done the right thing. It changed the look of the entire bike and had grey pinstriping. I think I drooled on it when they rolled it in

I bought my bike solely for the color. My dealer looked and looked and could get me a dif color but not the color I wanted. So I had to pay 2100 bucks more at a different dealer that did have my color. So the answer to your question would be YES.
If I didn't like the color scheme (and the deal wasn't good enough to cover a re-paint) I would not buy the bike. For me riding is a pleasant experience and if I hated the bike's color it would ruin it for me.
So the color would influence me.

yes , but has worked both ways, when I was looking for a road king I would have lauged at anyone telling me I would by a green bike, then I found one in Olive pearl and it changed my mind. But , if I truly disliked a color I would not buy it either.
I waited longer for a black bike (it was also cheaper), if I was looking again and had the extra cash to swap out the painted stuff or was going for custom paint then no.

Color makes a difference to me. Not buying one if I don't like the color unless it's super cheapy cheap like maybe a sporty. I really did look for six months before getting my bike too.

Once I ride it a while, if I decide to keep it, its getting repainted - I know me and that's just how it is. If I ride it and don't like it and I'm going to pass it on, so who gives a hoot? It can be whorehouse purple and pussy pink and if the numbers make sense I'll take title. I would even buy a 73-76 Vomit Gold bike if the price was good.
