I have to say, glad I read this. All the years 45+ I've been riding I never knew their was a meaning attached, DAH.
All joking aside - if the scar is deep enough for someone to get a Tattoo for it, I wouldn't question it.

Who else is a member? The BBC.
i think 6 weeks in hospital. 6 surgeries. 4 years of physical therapy.. Make me a member. Lol Doing a Broken Wing Run this year. On 11/16 at 11:16 am its been 16 years. Hubby bought me a bike for the 15th. After 10 months and 10k miles. I tradeded the Heritage for a Road Glide.

Well call me stupid I guess(stupid is such an ugly word), I always thought Broken Wings were worn to remember a Brother(or Sister, Loved one) that went down..
not to commemorate ones own misfortune..

Amen Bro, , , on a lighter note 45+ years ago I asked a guy in a local chop shop what the broken wings signified ,, he just smiled and said they fall down a lot

I'm all for wearing them in remembrance of a mate who went out... but for your own crash? Nah... seems too narcissistic to me.
