ultima 18-530 wiring and electrical box changes help needed~!
Hello everyone, I am in process of re-wiring my custom and picked up this 18-530 wiring kit. It so far has been straight forward however I have run into one snag. On the box where the right hand wiring harness plugs in, the plug is different than wiring harness diagram. I have it all installed and the pin for location 1 is not matching on the box compared to the wiring diagram. The diagram shows pin 1 on right hand turn signal switch, with the box not even having a pin in that location. I thought maybe I had the left and right hand harness backwards but they are both using pin 1 on the wiring harness with the right hand not having a pin 1. I suspect the wiring diagram changed, but I don't know what it changed to. If someone out there has any experience can you please help.

The older bikes had redundant power wires run into the hand controls...newer bikes did away with them. Installing a jumper wire will solve your problem ...tell me what year hand controls are you using and I can tell you the colors.

That's the old Thunderheart brain box and the plugs should be dedicated per side unless there's been a design change , their web site has better wiring diagrams you can work off of for different yrs or Jireh's web site has Ultima's products & instructions for download also . Same module late Indian mc's used .

PS pick an extra starter relay for a spare , those did flake kinda regular on that unit .

18-530, led box. I miss pinned it.
So after posting and looking on the net I found I was the only one with this problem..... So that meant to me that I needed to give some serious consideration to what I was lookin at, after all this isn't a brand new piece of equipment. I found I had put some wires in the wrong place. I pulled em out, inserted them in the proper holes, and things look great! I appreciate everyones input, and I found where I made a mistake.
