I've had short nails in truck tires like that before. Never caused a leak. Hope yo're good, but if not being it's a cast wheel maybe you could do a plug and patch if need be til you can get a new tire,

Default No worries

That happened with my '07 Sportster about two months after I got it. I pulled it out and rode it.

I got 13 thousand miles out of that tire!! It's a real pisser you can't get the same tires that they put on them from the factory.

If you are certain the nail didn't penetrate the cord, but instead only went into the outer tread rubber, you'll be OK. Otherwise I'd replace it w/ a Metzler. How many miles on it?

Edit to add that you should adjust your budget to include roadside hazards such as this. Be safe.

I have removed nails before that didn't go all the way into the cord and finished out the life of the tire. I would just watch it. I wouldn't replace it with a damn Metzler. Getting rid of the second and last set of them I ever run on one of my Harley's soon. Going to Avon's next on the Wideglide and I am leaving Dunlops on the Heritage classic.

Last October I pulled out a 3/8-inch sliver of alumium from my rear tire...It never went flat and is still in use today! Keep a close eye on tire pressure and if it stays inflated for over a week you should be in the clear.

You can get the exact same tires the factory uses. I just bought a new rear tire from this place. It is the Exact same tire. I got the rear tire for $112. I had an indy put it one and the owner told me she pays more for her tires wholesale.
