Squeaky Primary Belt

Squeaky Drive Belt
I've been noticing lately that when I move forward my drive belt squeaks. I never really noticed it before and then I was pushing my bike into the garage and notice the squeak. Now that I listen for it I hear it when I'm riding too, is this a problem? Does your bike's drive belt squeak?

Adjust it. Or if it is like my 99 Heritage if adjusting doesn't stop the squeek then go to the parts store and buy a can of belt ease and spray it every few thousand miles.

Thanks for the tips, I'll clean the belt and get some belt dressing. I'll check my shop manual for instructions on how to check the rear axle.

If it keeps doing it no matter what you do ... you likely have a problem with your rear wheel bearings. Kits are like 20 bucks. Mine started squeaking at 10K

Hey all, I changed the "primary" to "drive". I don't have a primary belt drive, it's my drive belt that squeaks. When asked for reason for change, I said so I don't look stupid, I guess it's too late for that.
