Very High Plain Drifter Right, but apart from the Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, Evolution, Revolution, Twin Cam, J-series, K-series, XL, hydraulic lifters, aluminium heads, improved cooling, more power, better reliability, electric start and design help from AMF, Kawasaki and Porsche... what have the Romans ever done for us?!
Didn't they give us Caligula???

Twin Cam was dubbed the Fathead, per Donny Petersen Unauthorized Technical Guide on the Twin Cam, pg 4. That same page gives the nickname for all the Big Twin motors. Can't make a page scan but look it up.

Well that would be the Italian made Harley 250/350cc Sprint, the SS-175, the 125cc 2 stroke Rapido, ( my first bike,) and 100 cc Baja, and a couple of mini bike types manufactured by Aermacchi. Remember the " Shortster?"

Harley had some twin cams in the 30's and they cleaned up on the flat tracks.

Knucklehead 1936-1947
Harley's first overhead valve V-Twin.

Panhead 1948-1965
Improved engine design with hydraulic lifters.

Shovelhead 1966-1983
The distinctive enclosed cylinder head sets it apart.

Evolution 1984-1999
The now famous AMF engine. Harley also went public during this time

Twincam 1999 - present
Harley's first twincam
You could have saved us all a lot of time and embarrassment to your self for having your facts wrong if you had just done this.

It didn't stick. If you called a twinkie a "fathead", no one (except Donny Peterson) would know what you were referring to.
