1st HD, need a shipping company!
Fortunately for me my dad gave me his 03 HD Road King Classic. He lives in Texas and I live in VA. Since I don't have time to go get it, which I would prefer, I need to hire a shipping company to bring the bike up here. I googled motorcycle shipping companies and well there are hundreds of them with most being brokers not actual transport companies. Can anyone recommend a good shipping company?

I've used this company twice with good results.

other companies gave a better quote, but then add on a fuel surcharge, that put their cost quite a bit higher in the end.
Here's a pic of it right off the truck so you can see how they ship them...

I used Uship, got a much better price than was quoted by all the regular shippers.
I had never used Uship before, and didn't realize it works like a reverse auction.
Haulers will bid high at the beginning, and as the time period of your listing expires,
the low ballers will come out. So, don't accept what you think is a good offer right away.
Let them compete for your business, and drive the price down.

We've bought and sold cars and trucks at a couple of Barrett-Jackson auctions and have used Reliable Carriers to get vehicles to the location and home. These guys carry million dollar vehicles and Motorcyles everyday, and because of fleet size it's normally pretty easy to get your bike on a load.

Be careful, many companies that advertise shipping are merely brokers that put your load out for bid. In this case getting what you pay for is very real. Pay the money and be assured your goods are taken care of!
