1954 Harley - questions...
My dad owns a 1954 Harley Davidson 1200. He's the original owner and the bike has less than 15,000 miles on it. Aside from new tires on occassion its virtually all orignal, including the blue paint job.
1. How would he go about determining a value?
2. He'd like for it to be on display somewhere, either permanantly, or on loan..any suggestions?
Thanks.

Look in Walnecks to get an idea on value. I sold my 95% original '61 FL last year for 18k and the buyer felt he got a good deal. In my opinion the '54 would be more valuable than my '61.
Talk to your local dealers about putting the bike on display,a lot of dealers have old iron in the showroom.

That sounds like a great bike. Check with your Harley dealer, not his salesman. Quite a few dealers become collectors and display older Harleys. You could even check with the moco for suggestions. Good luck. Wish I could afford it.

Wheels Through Time in Magee Valley, Dale is great and doing a good job with MC history. Put on loan for all to enjoy. Just an thought.
