Traded in the Road King
Hi Guys,
My Road King(my first bike and first Harley) has been traded in. I strayed during this process and looked at the BMW K1600 GTL(I did take it out for a ride). It had the adaptive headlights, traction control, nav, bluetooth and every other nice to have you can think of on a bike. It rode like a dream, had great power and handled very well. If I had never ridden a Road King, I might have bought the bike. Unfortunately for BMW, the bike was missing that one thing. We all *know* what it is. It is hard to explain to those that don't own a Harley Davidson.
I happened to ride this bike a few hours after the BMW and it scratched the itch, was very comfortable and made me realize that there really is currently only one manufacturer out there that really gets the riding experience right(in my opinion). So, with that being said, this is my new sled. A new 2012 Blue and Black divide Road Glide Custom with the stretched bags:
This bike was purchased at Lone Wolf HD in Spokane Washington. I can't begin to tell you how great the folks are over there. It was an absolutely fantastic buying experience. I finished getting through the first 50 under 50 last night and I plan to have several thousand miles on this bike by the end of the summer. I really like the power of the 103, even though I may end up opening things up a bit with some air and exhaust in the future.
