Vegas Motorcycle Officer Suffers Head Injures in Wreck

Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Michael Contreras was transported to University Medical Center Trauma Center Saturday night with a broken wrist and head injuries. He remained in serious condition today. The officer, 27, was on his motorcycle around 8:05 p.m. when a pickup attempted to make a turn into a parking lot. The pickup swerved in front of Contreras, causing him to hit the pickup and fall off his motorcycle, police said. Contreras was transported to University Medical Center Trauma Center with a broken wrist and head injuries. He remained in serious condition today, police said.

Nah, the cop was admonished for not being a more defensive rider. LVPD apologized to the truck driver for the dent their officer put in the side of his truck and gave him a coupon for the buffet at The Rio.
