Looked it up and it's a $500 jacket new. Just as heavy as the Fox Creek and great quality. Can't beat that!

Just discovered these guys too. Seems like they have a good reputation although I have any first hand experience with their products. Worth checking out. A Mexican family business, made in the USA. Been around since 1971. Good prices too.

I am in Portland also, I have had many cheap but nice looking leather jackets, they never quite fit well. I wandered into the Langlitz place there on Division. At the time I didn't know that they were the best jackets on earth, I was just walking by. They have alot of great stuff on the used rack. I got an older jacket, $400, fits absolutelly perfect. I will never need another jacket. Also it has something like nine pockets. It realy is worth looking through the used rack there. This one sold for $1200 about 1980, nicely broken in, but in perfect condition. I have had it for about ten years now.

It's the difference between having a Harley and riding a Ricer. Langlitz and Shotts are the best. I've been wearing a Langlitz jacket for 30 years now and it still feels and fits like a new glove. Are they expensive? Yeah. But you get what you pay for.

I'm looking into a Columbia Padded jacket with all the works- The price doesn't matter compared to being the last leather jacket I'll ever own.

There is no such thing as an unhappy Langlitz customer.

I wore a cheap Hot Leathers jacket for years and finally decided I wanted a TOP QUALITY leather jacket and so explored the internet. Settled on the Langlitz and am so happy with this jacket! Cost me $1K but its worth every penny compared to any other jacket I found or have seen on someone. Fits like a glove, top quality leather and superb construction craftsmanship! USA MADE! I know its a lot for a leather but its the last one I will ever need. You will not be unhappy with a Langlitz....they wont let you be....money back guarantee.

Way over rated. period. Nothing wrong with them, just twice the price of what they should be. IF you have money to blow and want the name, then by all means. But there are MANY other heavy-duty brands out there that are just as good. I especially don't dig the OP's obvious want to have everyone love this brand. Smells like a shill albeit an overzealous shill for the company.
And YES, I have owned several Langlitz leathers over the years all of which I sold at various times on ebay. Every single one of the listings I had got a flag and a demand from Langlitz to verify their authenticity. How Langlitz has some kind of agreement with ebay to hassle sellers of their secondhand wares is beyond me. But I will say that the attitude of the people I had correspondences with at Langlitz was not much unlike our caffeinated friend here. But I'm sure that their salesman are all real nice. lol.
