I bought a used green 71 Sportster in 1979. As soon as I could, I blasted it and painted it black.
My riding bro had a green pre unit Triumph chopper- bet I heard 200 times over the years green bikes were bad luck. We never had too bad of times, many crazy times though. I will add that my Harley was solid green, and the Triumph was metalflake- though not as large of flake the new HD colors.
And no I don't like them.

 

I like the metal flake colors, even the green. In fact if I had to choose a green bike I'd only get one if it was done in metal flake.

 

I am glad that HD is expanding their color options....more color options = better for everybody. If you don't like a certain color, then buy what color you want.

Personally, green is my favorite color, and I love metal flake paint. I also love the red metal flake. Having said that, I love looking at them, but it's too over the top for me & I'll never own one. Glad the options are there, but not for me.

My world operates like this & I don't see me ever deviating from it:
white or silver trucks
green tractors
blonde women
black bikes

Just my preference, but the more choices out there for everyone the better.

 

I love the flake-------------------Just not on those bikes they have put it on.I haven't seen the green but like the red used on the sportster and could invision a street glide with that color real easy
