Custom HighWay Pegs/ Need Help/ Ideas
So I am 6.5 with a 36 inseam and for the Fat Bobs there doesn't seem to be much out there as far as highway pegs greater than 3in. So decided to try and make my own. The plate is a 1/4 in. thick and 1 1/2in. wide cold rolled steel it adds about 6in. to my pegs, but the plate has some twist to it when ya get my boots pressing down on the pegs. Plus i mounted the plate on the inside of the stock pegs to avoid cutting around the stock brackets, but the pegs don't really come out far enough to give my boots some good meat to sit on.
Any ideas to make this better? I have added a diagram of an idea with some angle iron. Let me know what ya think and throw out some suggestions plz.

Might not look so great (unless you chrome everything), but for the movement, what about welding a bar going across from one to the other? I would think that would stiffen 'em up without having to weld anything else onto the frame.
Either that or get an engine guard and mount HD adjustable highway peg mounts on it. I'm 6'3 w/34" inseam and those work great for me.
Usually being big is an advantage, but in situations like this, not so much. Good luck!

Ya this is one of those times being tall blows....
Thought about welding a bar that goes across, just have to watch the front fender and I wasnt sure if it would look all that great. Thanks for the input and i'll continue post with what ever I come up with.

It doesn't look like they can work with the fat bob. Something about different brackets. They look like they would be comfortable tho.
