Does anyone know if there will be a swap meet going on in reno over street vibrations. We have been to Hot August nights, and they have a great auto swap meet?

 

In the many years I have been going to Street Vibrations, I haven't seen a swap meet. Doesn't mean there isn't one.....just I don't know about it.

 

They don't have a swap meet. Registered individuals can sell their bikes at the event center, but that's it.

 

Doesn't the whole downtown area sort of have that "swap meet" feel? Its been a few years since I have been and dont remember if they have vendors selling used stuff.

 

We locals have been trying to get Road Shows to do a major Custom Bike Show at the Convention Center & a swap meet somewhere too... They are not interested in either.

 

so odd, at HOt August nights, the swap meet is one of the bigger events. It is always very crowded, and I assume they make a bundle off the space rental. Oh well...too bad.

 

Hot Aug Nights is put on by the local Reno,Sparks & Tahoe area tourists group (government) who know what the customers want.

Street Vibes is by Road Shows and they do not go beyond their concept of they want it to be. Other than expanding it to Victoria Sq vs all of it being in downtown Reno, very little has changed in the last several years. Its gotten bigger for sure but it could get much better. What we do have definately beats having no event at all.
