Default SE 95 BIG BORE or S&S 97 KIT?

Which would you go with if you had to go with a Big Bore Kit?

I save the money for head work. Have ur stock jugs punched out to 96inches and have the stock heads ported

Bigger is better. I went with the s&s 106 kit only because of the nickasil lined cylinder walls. Rings last longer. And I refuse to buy any Harley branded part ever again, unless I absolutely have to

Thanks, I had read that the cylinders were of stronger material. The S&S site shows the 106 kit only for post 2006 bikes.

Thanks, I know this route is cheaper but a lot of down time and shipping charges from Hawaii. No head porters here. Plus, my bike is at the stealership right now and I am leaving Island for couple weeks.

I guess a good business would be to move to Hawaii and open up a Custom Harley shop that does engine work.

The S&S kit is better because its bigger obvisously but the best big bore kit for the money is Revolution Performance. 98 cubic inch, their cylinders come with a coating that reduces friction and wear, and the cylinders i believe are made of aluminium and reduce heat. I run the Rev kit on my bike, its def a good choice.

hope this helps
