Ugly Bikes? Lets see em.
#11
My ride...
I have a Road Glide. (See my sig pic) Lots of people think they're ugly. Hence the nickname FUGLY. Of course, I think they're awesome looking. They're going 100mph just sittin there!

Are we still doing ugly? mine is below.
You guys do realize they aren't going for the bulk of the Harley crowd. They are going for the crowd who wants "US made" but doesn't look the same as every other bike built by the company since 1985.
Look at the difference between a Victory touring or cruiser from 2004, 2007, 2012.
Victory is giving its riders a real reason to trade in an buy a new bike because they change the design in some major ways relatively often.
They are forced to make a quality bike that looks different and their designers aren't lazy.
Now look at the different between a 2004 Ultra and a 2012 ultra glide. Looks pretty much the same. They seem to have at least 3 distinctly different bikes over this period. Harley same.
Which is fine if you are the type that buys a Harley regardless of the looks, mechanics etc and solely based on the image or whatever you think it gets you.
Harley knows people will buy the name, they know they will buy a new bike and then spend A LOT of extra money making it look different from the rest. In short they have a lazy design team and a bunch of huge ******** dangling marketing types.
Anyone know of a site or test that has done a long term test of an HD and a victory? It would be interesting to see
yr over yr cost
amount spent on after market goodies that don't make bike perform better
warranty coverage
How many times a rider trades in each for a new model
performance
etc etc

Here s my ugly bike:
Yes it's the same bike as in my sig pic but 5 years and 103,000 miles later.. It has also been a daily driver and sat outside all this time just a few blocks from the ocean..
Only changes were the front wheel, bars, and I put the original front fender back on because I ride in all weather..
