Does anyone have a WLA-45? I saw a restored one the other day just as it was in the war...great looking bike!

There was a one in the classified section a month or so ago I think. Can't remember if it was a WLA or WL that the guy had modified to look like an "A". Had some upgrades to make it a more dependable rider. You can try doing a search in the bikes for sale section.

This belongs to a friend of mine:

Not exactly as it left the factory! It gets ridden a lot, he does a fair few miles on it every year.

I had a 1942 "45" when I was in highschool. Mine was not a military version. It had the big buddy seat, a wind shield, and leather saddle bags. I traded a 37 Chevy, a Winchester 12 ga. single shot, and $20.00 for it. Ended up selling it a few years later for $50.00. Sure had a lot of fun on it while I had it though. I would love to at least take a ride on another one, but they are few and far between.
