Ordered a new Street Bob through HD1 last night
Last night after work I stopped by the dealer and ordered a new Street Bob through Harley's HD1 customization program.
Too easy. Brought in my computer printout, they inputed it into the computer, asked me about additional options that aren't on the site (ABS and security option, $1200) and gave a deposit.
I ordered:
StreetBob
Vivid Black
103 chrome motor package
chrome wheels
forward controls
2-up seating
ABS and security
$15,924 + 317 Doc fee.
Arrival 20 Feb.
Good way to order a bike EXACTLY the way you want, but only Sporty's and street bobs are on the HD1 program right now.

Congrats
The HD1 program seems like a great one. I for one think that it should be extended to the rest of the lineup. I passed that remark to a salesman at my local dealership (I commented about the metal flake paints) and his response was that they offer custom tin sets also for my Road King. Don't think Ill be spending an extra $4000 though!
It's gonna be a long month until it arrives!

I think is pretty cool for certain bikes but for me most of the mods I do are non Harley aftermarket; however, I would love to do a street bob HD1 custom. Congrats on the Bob

I wish they would have offered it across the board as well. Would have saved me some time and trouble when I was blacking out the engine on the Street Glide.

Funny how some dealers are very easy to work with and willing to do a HD-1 custom order, and the 3 I went to wouldn't do it. I still ended up with what I wanted it but it shouldn't have been as hard as it was.

A call to Harley Corporate would have fixed that. Certain things dealers HAVE to do, like support company wide programs like this.
My dealer told me these orders don't even count against their yearly allocation of bikes....these are a separate deal.
Thanks for the support guys....It should be nice.
