Default How to Make: Visormatic for Biltwell Helmet – 3$

For who does not know what Visormatic : http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=2146

Looks like a useful thing ... but $ 50 for a piece of plastic is not my cup of tea.

Here are the necessary things to do for € 2 /$ 3/

1. Download this file: http://tatau.org/moto/helmets/Shield_000.pdf and give it to some guy or company that offers laser cutting service. This is the only investment. To me it was worth 2 euros or about $ 3. Use crystal clear plastic with a thickness from 0.8 to 1 mm. PMMA is not suitable because it is not sufficiently elastic.

2. Required tools and supplies:

- 3 clips
- A piece of double cable - about 5-6 cm
- Sandpaper - number 300 or more
- Roll bishop - 1 to 1,5 cm wide
- Scissors
- Sharp knife
- Universal crystal clear glue

With sandpaper flatten the sharp edges of plastic left over after cutting.

Cut the cable and remove the wires from it.

Note how long should the nose guard

Cut the ends at 45 degrees

Carefully spread the glue on the rim

Squeeze the clip until the glue to permanently glue the two parts

Nice! Looks great. What is "Bishop" exactly? I am assuming it is some kind of adhesive tape but I am wondering what it's specific purpose is? Not familiar with what "Bishop" is.

BISHOP is a trademark of the company Plymouth Rubber. In Europe, this name was adopted for the general name of these self vulcanizing tape.
