Default installing exhaust questions

So I have a couple questions..I have a 2009 street bob with factory headers and rush slip ons..I just purchased a new Rush shorty full exhaust..When I take the old exhaust off and install the new is there anything that I should do before hooking it up? Do you need new exhaust gaskets or any pipe lubrication puddy? Or any other tips would be great..I know the install will be easy but just want it done right the first time..
Thanks

As for the gaskets, some reuse them, others always put in new ones. I've done both and had no problems either way. Find out from Rush which gasket they recommend. If it's the same as stock it's up to you.

Put in new gaskets, small price to pay to make sure they are seated correctly and avoid a leak after you have everything installed.

Use new gaskets. The gaskets crush down when tightening, so replacing the old ones will give you less chance of a leak.

I agree with using new gaskets. It'll eliminate having to do it again.

I have found out that when installing Rush pipes that the Stock Tapered gaskets seal better then the SE gaskets.
