Default PMS- Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

Pretty neat article from Rider Magazine. Have done something similar for many years with a group of racing friends, many of whom I only see this one time a year these days. Highly recommended for making good memories.

PMS is kicking my ***!!!

My usual winter hobby, shooting, has all but become a memory of what used to be since things got crazy... So now I have no distraction from wishing I could ride. My house here in CT is going up for sale this spring and the short list of states to move to is TX/SC/NC/TN/FL...

I like New England 3/4 seasons but CT especially, is an extremely hard place to live for someone my age. Seems like the winters get longer and colder every year, and I honestly see no future here in the long haul. Plan is to take the equity from my CT sale and either buy a decent chunk of land in a warm, red state -or- if the girlfriend decides not to stick with me, buy a small place with a big garage and live free, riding as far and as frequently as I can. Seems like getting out of New England is gonna be a win/win for me either way...

That's why I don't park the bike in the winter. It has been snowing two day's now and I went out in it both days. Exactly the reason that I got a 2WD Ural with side car.

When the roads are good I go out on the HD. 62 days of riding from Nov. 1st and 7,300 miles.

You should see the looks I get when going down the highway and streets in town. Folks shoveling their sidewalks and driveways just stop and look at the fool going down the street on some kind of contraption.

T-Rod45: I'd get that a small place with a big garage, regardless of what a GF decides. Live your life the way you want to. GF's come and go. Once you marry them, everything belongs to them anyways. Ask me how i know.....Fuggen divorce laws and courts are just plain evil.

I like the idea of a Ural to get rid of my PMS. I almost bought a used one that had a plow on it. I thought that would be a great excuse to plow the driveway and get my riding urges taken care of when I was done.
