Default Must see/do/ride STURGIS RALLY

I have been to myrtle beach and daytona, but 2013 will be my first year riding up to the sturgis rally. I was looking for input on where to stay, and must see/do/ride. Anything you can think of that will make the experience even better. Also, I'm planning on tent camping any suggestions on the best place to stay?

There is so much to see. Get a map of the area and check it out. Lots of day rides, Rushmore, crazy horse, Devils tower in Wyoming. You will love it! Are you riding, where are you starting out from?

Beautiful country out there. It depends on what you are into concerning where to stay. I wanted to sleep at night so I opted to camp near Spearfish.

I'm planning on going with 3 other guys ages range from 26-30 so we will be out an about in the nights. We'd like to be close to the action, and like I said we're planning on tent camping. Is buffalo chip worth the extra 150 bucks for the week to get into all the concerts free? 2 of us will be riding up from St. Louis and the other 2 are meet us there riding from Colorado.

In addition to the other suggestions, be sure to ride the Iron Mountain Road (Pig Tail Bridges), Spearfish Canyon, Needless Highway and the Custer Park big loop with wild animal viewing.

Visit all the towns in the area. DeadWood, Custer City, Hill City, Lead, Spearfish, Belle Forche. If you have enough time go through the Bad Lands near Wall.

I skip Mt. Rushmore. If you have been there once no need to go again. Crazy Horse is worth going every year to see the changes and fill up on all you can eat Indian Tacos in the restaurant.

I go for all the riding. I do go into Sturgis in the evening once during the event to people watch. (.) (.) if you know what I mean.

One evening drop by the Full Throttle Saloon. Go early about 5 or 6 ish and stay to the end. In reality it is nothing like what they show on the tv show. It's actually a fun place. Great music, lots of things going on. You can watch guys trash their bikes and tires in the burnout pit, they have the girls dancing around showing their stuff, just hang around and watch all the goings on. They have two stages with bands playing on both. Place is huge.

Do you want a quiet place to stay ? an all night party ? debauchery ? or something in between ? There is something for everyone but it depends on what you're looking for.
